Dwayne Johnson to debut "The Hero," star in HBO series
Cinema Blend is reporting HBO has tapped Freedom grad Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson" to star in a half-hour series about retired athletes living in Miami, just as The Rock gets ready to debut his self-produced reality series "The Hero" at 8 p.m. June 6 on TNT.
Right now the unamed HBO project is in the early stages and HBO is set to shoot a pilot executive produced by Mark Wahlberg, who co-starred with Johnson in the recent hit "Pain & Gain," and Stephen Levinson, producer of "Entourage...see more
